Leftovers trail mix
The best thing about the recipe is that you can use different ingredients with varying quantity each time you prepare it for your furry pal.

Ingredients required

  • Potatoes
  • Meat pieces (Rinse flavoring, if seasoned)
  • Any vegetable(s) (save for onions)
  • Any fruit pulp (Avoid grapes and raisins)

Preparation

  • Cut all ingredients into thick pieces, about ½ inch.
  • Add light cooking spray to the pieces.
  • Use a food dehydrator or an oven set at 2000F to completely dry the mix.

Basic dog biscuits
What’s more to say about biscuits? Doggies love biscuits. Therefore, these are one of the best DIY dog treats you can make at home. This recipe can be tweaked to adjust as per your doggie’s taste and preference.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of hot water
  • 1 large-sized egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon or chicken broth granules
  • 2½ cups of whole wheat flour (or regular flour or oats for dogs sensitive to wheat)
  • Bacon/eggs/oats/liver powder/shredded cheese/bacon bits/wheat germ(optional)

Preparation

  • Dissolve the chicken bouillon in hot water.
  • Preheat the oven to 3500F.
  • Add all ingredients to the bouillon-water solution.
  • Knead a ball-shaped dough with the mix.
  • Continue rolling the dough until it’s ½ inch thick.
  • Cut into medium-sized slices (or use a bone-shaped cookie cutter).
  • Place the dough pieces on top of a lightly greased cookie sheet and place it in the oven.
  • Cook the pieces for about 30 minutes and serve it to your furry friends.

Healthy pumpkin balls
Healthy pumpkin balls are one of the healthiest DIY dog treats to give to your four-footed friend, as this recipe is full of fiber, beta-carotene, iron, potassium, and Vitamin A.

Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional )
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 4 tablespoon water
  • 4 tablespoon molasses

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 3500F.
  • Take a bowl and mix the molasses, vegetable oil, water, and pumpkin in it.
  • Now add the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and wheat flour to the mix and stir until it softens.
  • Roll balls using the mix.
  • Place all the balls on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork if required.
  • Bake the balls for about 25 minutes or until the dough hardens.
